It's bigger! The much requested Ultra 36L Dragonfly has landed so you can pack more into your adventure. Constructed of Ultra fabric and UltraStretch™ mesh, we've created a travel/day (and beyond!) pack that can handle whatever life (or an over-zealous baggage handler) can throw at it.
Ultra™ fabrics are 15x stronger than steel by weight, twice as abrasion-resistant as same-weight nylons, and waterproof to 200 psi, meaning you don't have to worry about your cargo.
Front-loading, the Ultra 36L Dragonfly is quick to pack, so you can be out the door in a flash. Several organizational pockets help keep you sane in this hectic world. The quick-access top pocket with built in lanyard is perfect for things you want to be safe yet accessible, like those keys. The front panel has 2 internal open-stretch mesh compartments (split) and an external UltraStretch™ mesh pocket for more organization. Two large UltraStretch™ mesh side pockets can fit 64 oz. bottles with ease. UltraStretch™ is a four-way stretch mesh supercharged with ULTRA to be extra tear-resistant and durable.
The Ultra 36L Dragonfly fits a 17-inch laptop in a laptop sleeve that doubles as a hydration bladder. Two internal compression straps cinch your load so you can get all your gear in hassle-free. Need more room? Put it under the front bungee on the outside.
Signature s-strap shoulder straps and a sternum strap provide all-day comfort. Need more support? We've tucked 1" low-profile fixed attachment loops behind the lower bottom shoulder strap anchor points to allow for the attachment of our removable Dragonfly + Packrat Hipbelt. (Please note, the Dragonfly + Packrat Hipbelt is only compatible with newer Dragonfly models that feature the 1" low-profile attachment loops. To see if your pack is compatible, check for these loops behind the bottom shoulder-strap anchor points.) A NEW! padded haul loop provides a comfortable grip even when you reach max loads. YKK AquaGaurd water-resistant zippers throughout. The Ultra 36L Dragonfly has a 2" x 3" Velcro/removable ULA logo patch.

ULTRA
ULTRA™ represents a new paradigm in weight and durability. Constructed with an optimal blend of UHMWPE (Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) and high-tenacity polyester, this tight weave is laminated with an eco-friendly adhesive to Challenge RUV™ film. The result is an incredibly strong, lightweight, and waterproof to 200 PSI textile. ULTRA™ is the ultimate ultralight fabric, with the strength to go the distance in the most demanding environments.
ULTRA 400TX
A high modulus pack fabric, ULTRA 400TX, is constructed of a 400d Ultra PE (similar to Dyneema®) with a white tafita backing to give the fabric a visible and more durable interior. It is 20% lighter and four times as abrasion-resistant than other 400d U-PE fabrics.

ULTRASTRETCH™

Mostly a great update to 30L, with one BIG drawback.
Compared to my secondhand robic 30L, ultra 400tx white feels very nice and more technical.
The middle dump pocket is far more usable compared to the 30L and is easier to unzip to.
The larger size fits my torso better.
The top handle is far more comfortable to use compared to the 30l.
Larger laptop sleeve means you can fit your 17 or put a 15inch plus a tech pouch without going to the main compartment.
The unremovable velcro patch ruins the clean aesthetic that the techwear community adored. Seriously unfortunate and would’ve had the entire Outlier community hopping on board to buy this if it weren’t for the ugly patch.
