The ULA XPAC Packrat daypack has been re-imagined with urban living in mind because as much as we wish we were always conquering a trail, the truth is, reality calls. Versatile enough to carry a laptop yet comfortable enough to go on a post-work sunset hike, we've designed a pack that can handle it all. Whether you're stuck at a 9 to 5, in school, headed overseas, or dirtbag-ing, the Packrat is the ideal companion.
Why the "Packrat?" A packrat is daring and loves to explore and collect things. This Packrat is no different. The main compartment is large and open, built to carry the variety of items you need from day to day. The internal laptop sleeve holds up to a 15" laptop against your back for added support and rigidity. An interior zipper pocket is great for keys and anything else you need to keep organized. The external wrap-around UltraStretch™ front pocket is the perfect place to stow things you want quick access to, while the two external side pockets hold anything from a large 64 oz Nalgene to a 3-course meal on the go.
Signature s-strap shoulder straps and a sternum strap provide all-day comfort. Need more support? We've tucked 1" low-profile fixed attachment loops behind the lower bottom shoulder strap anchor points to allow for the attachment of our removable Dragonfly + Packrat Hipbelt. (Please note, the Dragonfly + Packrat Hipbelt is only compatible with newer Packrat models that feature the 1" low-profile attachment loops. To see if your pack is compatible, check for these loops behind the bottom shoulder-strap anchor points.) A padded haul loop provides a comfortable grip even when you reach max loads.

TERRAIN XPAC VX21
Terrain X-Pac VX21™ Fabric is one of the most popular high-performance technical fabrics in the industry. The combination of low stretch, waterproof construction, and 210 denier face fabric strikes a near-perfect balance between weight and durability, making Terrain X-Pac VX21™ fabric ideal for backpacks, rain gear, cycle bags, stuff sacks, pouches, and many other outdoor gear applications. If you’re looking for a fabric with a softer hand, try the Ripstop Soft X-Pac VX21 RS™. This laminate fabric is comprised of the following layers: C6 DWR 210 Denier Nylon Face, Black Polyester X-Ply™ at 22°, 0.25Mil PET Film, and a 50 Denier Polyester Taffeta Backing.
